Stroke Survivor Programs

Programs Offered at the Stroke Recovery Association of Manitoba

There are a number of programs available for stroke survivors to attend in person and virtually.

Registration is required. You can register online HERE or by calling us at 204-942-2880.

Adaptive Exercise

With guidance from a certified fitness instructor, participants move through a series of fluid group and individual exercises and activities designed to keep muscles and joints limber, flexible and strong.

Art Therapy

A welcoming space for stroke survivors of all artistic abilities to explore their creativity through various art forms. Participants can socialize, express themselves and support their recovery by strengthening skills such as hand-eye coordination.

Speak Easy Club

Speak Easy Club is designed to help regain the confidence and ability to verbally communicate so survivors can navigate their world and live their lives with more confidence and efficiency. Each session is tailored to the level of the participants.

Social Club

A place for stroke survivors to enjoy a cup of coffee, socialize and enjoy fun group activities that change each month.

Life Enhancing Experiences Program

Our LEEP outings give stroke survivors the opportunity to visit a place or attraction that they might not normally be able to attend.

Young Stroke Survivor Group

This group discusses a new topic every meeting. Conversation stems from personal experiences of the attendees and questions from the group.
